VERY NICE smaller specimen of the growing top of a stromatolitic algae colony from the Eocene Green River Formation.  This is a classic locality just to the south of Wamsutter, Wyoming.  This specimen shows the outside and inside of the top several layers of this  conical algae structure.  This specimen measures approximately 2" x 1.5" and 1" thick.  A great find for any collector of ancient algae and of particular interest to collectors with limited storage or display space!

Your specimen will come with a label identifying the specimen, the locality where it was collected, the formation and age of the material and any other pertinent information we have gleaned from our literature search.
