This is a collectible only.
Due to the age of the item, as with all new old stock, this does not hold pressurized air. It retains its shape perfectly fine. But the rubber bladder inside probably has micro-cracks.
If you are buying this to play football with (although I wouldn't expect that) I would think again.  If you're buying this as a collectible,  then this is exactly what you'd expect.
