    Description

    A sword frog is the easiest, quickest and least expensive method for carrying your sword on a waist belt. The frog consists of a thick leather base with sturdy belt strap and adjustable flaps that lace up around your sword scabbard with leather thongs.
    Our small leather medieval sword frog is slim, sleek and wont detract from your sword. This type of frog holds sword vertically from your medieval belt and can be used for single hand medieval or renaissance swords. Designed to be used by either right or left handed people and will fit a scabbard that is 2 inches wide (or 4.5 inches in circumference) up to 3 inches wide (or 8 inches in circumference).
    To use the frog loosen the leather thongs, slide the scabbard into the frog flaps and adjust the scabbard to the height you prefer. Tighten the thongs like lacing a pair of shoes. Slide the belt loops (fits up to 2 inch wide belt) onto your waist belt and the sword will stay safely secured for your event. Shown with our medieval ring belt which works nicely, however if you wish to feel more secure we also offer a 72 inch long medieval buckle belt.
    Please note: This type of sword frog is not recommended for LARP swords or SCA swords. We offer other frogs for these types of swords because their blades are much rounder than medieval steel swords.
