This is a beautiful RARE ASSOCIATION OF A PLANT AND AN ANIMAL , a beautifully preserved, 3” long fossil fish, a 5.5” long & 3” long (including stems) long Sycamore leaves (Platanus vitifolia) & 1 Poplar (Populus gallowi ) leaf collected from the 15 million year old Valentine Formation in Cherry County, Nebraska.
The dark black-orange preservation contrasts well against the beige-grey rock. This specimen shows the primary veins and some secondary venation as well. The preservation on the largest sycamore leaf is amazing. This material was collected from a private ranch a few years ago. I'm not aware of any other material from this site being available at the present time for sale anywhere on the internet, or if any will be available again. I’m starting at half my cost a few years ago and buyer pays actual shipping of 14 lbs.
Wonderful display piece for your come or office or awesome addition to your fossil collection, either way you are picking up a true museum piece imo .
Good luck
