Forrest J Ackerman was one of the earliest contributors to Science Fiction fandom and remained active throughout his life. While most people are familiar with his work in
Famous Monsters
and
Spacemen
, much of his other work appeared in fanzines and magazines now long out of print. This issue reprints obscure material by Forrest Ackerman as well as material about Ray Harryhausen, whom Forry first befriended in 1938. I have been collecting old fanzines for years, especially issues with material by and about Forrest Ackerman (whom I first met in 1982 and knew for the rest of his life as I visited the Ackermansion many times). This is the twelfth issue since I started editing and publishing these in 2015. Back issues #1-11 are available individually and in sets.
Contents page shown above, including samples of the WAR OF THE WORLDS folio from 1898 by artist Alvin Correa. The color is sepia, not actually full color, the way the artist rendered it in 1898.
