    Description

    This Italy 10,000 Lire Banknote from 1984 is part of the 1982-1985 series. The obverse side of the note depicts a portrait of the Italian physicist Alessandro Volta along with his greatest invention voltaic pile, the first electrical battery, and seal of the Maritime Republics Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa, and Venice. The reverse side features the Tempio Voltiano museum in Como surrounded by trees and the penal code. The security features of the note include a solid security thread and a watermark image of Alessandro Volta and an electrotype BI monogram.
