Here is a very nice, large fossil leaf, from the world-famous fossil beds at Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, about 52 million years ago.   It is possibly an Elephant Ear species.
The leaf measures about 7.8" in length. The plate is about 12.1" by 9.1, and it weighs 4 lbs. 13 oz. (2181 grams).  It appears there is still more leaf that is still covered by more matrix.
In addition to the leaf, there are also two partial fish fossils. A very interesting addition to a fossil collection.
