    Green River Formation, Utah
Well preserved plant foliage material in the fossil record is rare, due to the swiftness of decay and the generally delicate nature of leaves.
From the important and famous fossil beds of the Green River formation comes this wonderfully preserved sycamore leaf. The leaf has preserved venation leading from the stem and fine serrations along the margins.
This fine specimen, measuring 6 x 4 inches, is a carbonized brown color in contrast to the gray matrix, measuring 7½ x 7 inches. Matrix is 2" thick and weighs 6lbs 10oz.
In overall nice original condition with expected marks to matrix from extraction - please use photos to determine condition.
    Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
