Fossil Part of a Giant Plant Leaf Green River Formation Wyoming WY COA 2094

Description

Here is part of a gigantic leaf from the world-famous fossil beds of Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, 52 million years ago.
It appears to be somethign like the elephant ear leaf,or possibly something from a banana plant. It measures about 8.6" high. The plate weighs about 1 lb. 0.7 oz, a thin plate that will be fine as long as nobody is rough with it.  It has several thin layers that have been glued together on some sides.
There is no paint or tint or any other restoration on this specimen.
