    Description

This is a 4.5" x 3.5" x 1" Pennsylvanian age, 300 million year old fossil seed from a seed fern.  This fossil seed has the name Trigonocarpus ampulliforme.  The imprints show great detail and the original plant material is preserved as coal.  This unusual and rare fossil is nicely presented and will make a nice addition to your collection.  This came from a coal mine in Alabama.
