Rare cover printed proof for the December 1969 issue of THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION. Cover by ED EMSH illustrating a story by Sonya Dorman. Excellent condition. Unfolded. No tape, no tears. Proof is 5 3/4 x 8 1/4 but the art image area is 5 3/8 x 8.
Early printed proof of the cover before the magazine title and cover text was added, so this is an early pre-publication version of the cover. Blank on the back. On the same stock as the final magazine cover was. Not one of a kind but few of these were made for editorial purposes and fewer now remain.
