    Description

    Large piece of Calamite or Giant Horsetail. Comes from the Carboniferous period from 359 - 299 million years ago. The Giant Horsetail was so proliferate that it constitutes most of the coal used today. It grew 40-60 feet tall and looked more like a Pine tree. Piece is 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 1 3/4".
