Morris died in 1994 but I bought many color slides from him before then which he made himself by photographing the paintings he'd done before selling them and this photo is made from one of the slides I bought from him.
Morris frequently attended science fiction conventions where he sold his original paintings for for an average of .00 each! Morris did some fantastic work over the decades (his portrait photo of Ray Bradbury graces the dustjacket of the first edition of THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES). But Morris never achieved the recognition he deserved during his lifetime.
